Welcome to Risuruuu~

Hello, and thank you so much for your interest in commissioning me for your next cosplay wig! I have been doing professional wig styling since 2016 and I love different opportunities to style wigs for characters I, myself, may not ever have the chance to cosplay. Please click the links above to learn more about my commissions and what to expect if we should work together!
Portfolio
Below are some examples of my work! Many of my pieces are published to Instagram and/or twitter! My favorite types of wigs to style are spiky styles (as you tend to see in many JRPGs) and wigs that may require lots of splicing (multicolored, typically). If you're planning to cosplay a character with really wacky hair, I'll probably be thrilled to make it for you!

FAQ
Commission Form:
A form for your commission request can be located Here. All communication about your commission must be done via email, so please have a valid email address that we can communicate through. Please review all of the following information to ensure you have an idea of what to expect, and what I am to expect, if you commission me. Much of this information is repeated in the commission form.
Basics and Pricing:
Orders will be taken at a first-come-first-serve basis. I have the right to deny any commission if I feel that I will be unable to complete the request. This is to ensure that you, the customer, receive the best quality work I can provide, while also providing me peace of mind. Pricing, payment, and shipping will be further discussed if the commission is acceptedI operate at roughly $20/hr for styling. A time estimate will be provided to you in your quote email. After you have submitted your form, if your commission is accepted, you will be sent the following via Email:
A base wig of my choosing which I would prefer to work with, along with its price. You may change this if you have your own preferences, or need to adjust due to budget. If you already have the base wig in hand, you are welcome to mail it in to be worked with.
Estimated labor costs. Prices may vary if excessive cutting, heavy styling, and/or coloring needs to be done. Please keep in mind this is the time needed to complete the wig, not the time in which the wig will be delivered to you.
Your entire price breakdown and quote total.
Additional Pricing:
These fees are automatically added to your quote and shall be listed in your breakdown:
A $5 Wig head fee. This can only be waived if you are providing your own base wig and head (you can ship them together)
A $5 materials fee. This is to cover the use of hairspray, clips, glues and additional tools used to style the wig. This is separate from the base materials needed to style the wig
Payment:
Paypal is the only form of accepted payment. If your commission is accepted, you will first be responsible for purchasing your base wig (if still needed) and the wig head fee. This amount will be paid to me, your wig will be ordered, and you will receive an update once it has arrived. You are also welcome to purchase the base yourself and have it shipped to me if you would like to earn or redeem loyalty points through the website of your base wig.I, Risuruuu, am responsible for all Paypal fees that may be in place by using their service. I will never ask you to cover Paypal fees. Additionally, to ensure you have buyer protection, I will request all payments be handled under "Goods and Services".If you do have the materials on-hand and would like to ship them to me, I will send you a PO box address. Please note that mail carriers such as UPS do NOT allow you to use their service to mail to a PO box. USPS is preferred when shipping wig materials__Payment options:__ You have the option to pay for everything up front (materials + labor + shipping), or you may do a split payment (materials first, labor and shipping after wig completion). Please just keep in mind that your wig will NOT be mailed out until everything is paid for.
Receiving Your Wig:
Notice: due to shipping prices, I can only ship to USA and Canada. Accommodations can be made to provide a commission outside of North America, but please keep in mind this may greatly increase your shipping cost.Upon completion of the wig, labor fees as well as shipping costs will need to be paid before the wig can be shipped out. Once this is done, a tracking number will be provided to you and you can track your parcel via Paypal! I prefer to use USPS, but if you prefer a different carrier, this can be made at your expense.I will keep your wig on-hold for one week after it's completion (you will be notified via email) If the remaining payment is not received after that period, I will be forced to sell the completed wig to somebody else. If you need any extra time, this is perfectly fine, just please communicate this to me!
Refund Policy:
If something comes up and you must cancel your commission, I completely understand! Depending on where we are in your commission progress will determine how much, and what can be refunded to you.
My wig has not been started, and I have not made any payments towards it aside from the down payment:
After receiving payment for your wig materials, a full refund of the supplies plus $10 of your down payment can be returned to you if you wish to cancel your commission, so long as the materials have not yet been ordered. Please note, I usually order materials 1-3 days after receiving payment for them. Once the order for materials has been placed, however, I cannot grant a full refund. The materials can be mailed to you and a $10 portion of your down payment can be returned.I have made payments on my wig and need to cancel:
Totally fine! If the wig has not been started, I can return your payment, (this includes the $10 of the down payment) to you.If progress on the wig has been made, however, we will need to evaluate how much of your payment can be returned as work has already been done. This will be determined between the two of us.My wig has been shipped/received but I need to return it.
Unfortunately, once the wig is paid for and shipped out, it cannot be returned as I have already completed the job. I cannot issue any refunds at this point, and returns are not accepted. The wig is now yours, however, and you are welcome to sell it on your own.
My Expectations:
If you post online, please provide proper credit in regards to the pieces (of wig or costume) that you did not make yourself in any posts, features, etc. A tag, or link to my Instagram/whichever applicable account will suffice. I am on multiple social media platforms as Risuruuu
Do not take credit for the wig.
Do not enter any hall cosplay or craftsmanship competitions using the wig. If conventions have certain percentage allowances between crafted/purchased materials, this may be an exception. When in doubt, just ask.
ENJOY your wig! Please share with me any photos of you wearing your wig so that I can see them and re-share them!~♥
Additional Questions:
How long will it take for my wig to be finished?
You should expect your wig to have progress made within one month after receiving the materials. Overall there is approximately a 6-8 week turnover depending on where you are in the queue. I will communicate with you about the progress of your wig, or you're always welcome to shoot me a message via email or social media. Additionally, I will ask for permission to post progress photos of your commission on my own social media pages, so progress can be checked there should you have opted into this.If you need your wig quickly, rush orders are possible, but will require extra fees of at least a 15% up-charge based on the final quote. It helps a ton if you have a certain convention in mind that you would be debuting your cosplay at so that I have a general idea of how to manage my time. I request that you ask ahead 6-8 weeks of when you will need the wig.Which stores do you typically get your base materials from?:
My go-to shops are Arda-Wigs, Epic Cosplay Wigs, and The Five Wits Wigs. I have lots of experience with these stores and know how to work with and what to expect with the fibers they use in their products. If you have a particular store you would prefer I order your materials from, please let me know this so I can prioritize those shops when scouting for your materials. How Durable are the Wigs?
I style wigs with the intent in mind to withstand general convention settings such as walking, running, tilting your head, and just long-term usage. If you intend on doing underwater photo shoots, going outside in high wind speeds or skydiving in your cosplay, I cannot guarantee the wig will get multiple uses outside of those situations. If, for any reason, this is something up your alley, please communicate that with me so that I can take extra measures to help your wig last. Again, I cannot guarantee it's lifespan in those situations. My Wig got damaged in shipment:
This has happened before and I am terribly sorry! I am not responsible for any damages to your parcel during shipment, but I will always make sure your wig is as secure as possible in its packaging. If this unfortunate event does happen to you, please notify me immediately and I will gladly make time to communicate or even video chat with you to help get your wig back to how it was when it was initially shipped.I have a different name that I use for receiving mail
Please let me know before I ship out the wig if there is a different name I should use on your parcel. I will revise the shipping label so that you're comfortable in receiving your package.I am retiring the cosplay that I commissioned the wig for from you:
This is YOUR wig now so you can do whatever you'd like with it. Sell it or donate it, I do not mind. I will not buy back wigs that I have styled. If you are looking to sell, I highly recommend Lumikha Cosplay.
